Freshman Orientation

πŸŽ–οΈ Manchester High School JROTC Kicks Off Freshman Orientation with Pride and Leadership πŸŽ–οΈ

August 18th 2025

As the 2025-2026 school year begins, Manchester High School proudly welcomed its newest students with a powerful display of tradition, respect, and leadership. The JROTC Color Guard played a central role in this year’s Freshman Orientation, setting a tone of discipline and pride that will guide these students throughout their high school journey.

Under the leadership of Senior Army Instructor’s CW3 Aiesha Rasulala and 1SG Gustavo Canales, also not forgetting about Cadet leadership, the Color Guard presented the colors at the start of the orientation ceremony. The precision, professionalism, and dignity displayed by the team served as an inspiring introduction to the values of honor, respect, and service upheld by the JROTC program.

Following the ceremony, members of the JROTC Staff and Leadership Team took the initiative to engage with the incoming freshmen in their classes. Cadet leaders introduced themselves, shared the mission of the JROTC program, and offered words of encouragement as the new students begin their high school careers. Their presence not only showcased the leadership opportunities within the program, but also demonstrated a strong commitment to mentorship and school spirit.

This event marks the first of many ways JROTC will be involved in supporting the school and its student body throughout the year. From ceremonial duties to community service and leadership development, the cadets of Manchester High School are ready to lead by example.

We welcome the Class of 2029 and thank the JROTC program for setting the standard on day one!
